Reasons Why We Should Drink Water Regularly

Sixty percent of human bodies are made out of the water. Which is why it is recommended to drink water at least 8 liters a day in order to attain its benefits. Here are several benefits that you can get for consuming 8 liters of mineral water a day.

1. Maximizing your physical performance
Most of our body is made out of the water.  Our body tends to get dehydrated during heavy physical activities such as exercises. If we are not hydrated, the performance in our body will suffer. We will start to feel fatigued, less motivated, and make exercising feel difficult for both physically and mentally. According to a research by the NCBI, “an optimal hydration could prevent this from happening and may even reduce the oxidative stress that occurs during a high-intensity exercise”. So, if you’re exercising intensely and sweats heavily, try to stay hydrated so that you can perform at your absolute best.

2. Maximizing your Brain Function
Our brain function is affected by hydration status.  A research shows that a mild hydration can impair many brain functions. “In a study of young women, a fluid loss of 1.36% after exercise impaired both mood and concentration, and increased the frequency of headaches”. Another study conducted on young men shows that “showed that fluid loss of 1.59% was detrimental to working memory and increased feelings of anxiety and fatigue”. So by staying hydrated, it will maximize the brain function that can help you in performing at your absolute best to do your daily activities.

3. Can help losing weight
Drinking water regularly can increase your metabolic rate. A study shows that “drinking half a liter (17 ounces) of water was shown to increase metabolism by 24-30% for up to 1.5 hours”. Time also plays an important factor, by drinking a water thirty minutes before meals are most effective. It will make you feel full that you will eat less. According to research, those who drink half a liter of water before meals lose 44% more weight, over a period of 12 weeks.

These are the benefits of drinking water regularly. Nowadays many people prefer to drink other types of flavored beverages such as soft drinks that may cause them health problems. You could avoid this by changing your lifestyle by adopting a habit of consuming water regularly in your life. By doing this, you can keep your body healthy and help you stay fit to do your activities. Water also has different PHs and it’s also recommended not to drink cold water

What is pH and why does it matter for your water?

What is pH? pH is a measurement of electrically charged particles in a substance. It indicates how acidic or alkaline (basic) that substance is. The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14:           Acidic water has a pH lower than 7. The most acidic substances have a pH of 0. Battery acid falls into this category.           Alkaline water has a pH of 8 or above. The most alkaline substances, such as lye, have a pH of 14.           Pure water has a pH of 7 and is considered “neutral” because it has neither acidic nor basic qualities. Freshwater pH varies across the world depending on weather patterns, human activity, and natural processes. Water with a very low or high pH can be a sign of chemical or heavy metal pollution. Water that doesn’t fall in the “safe” pH range of 6.5 to 8.5, particularly if it’s alkaline, isn’t necessarily unsafe. However, very alkaline water can have an unpleasant smell or...

Weighted Blankets For A Better Nights Rest

How Do Weighted Blankets Work? Weighted blankets provide a sensation known as ‘grounding’ that applies moderate pressure to the sleeper’s body and pushes them further into their sleep surface. Grounding also triggers the release of hormones that calm the nerves and lead to a good night’s sleep. The blanket’s weight is key for preserving sleep quality and getting an adequate amount of rest each night. Weighted blankets should be tailored to the individual user. Most adults reach optimal comfort levels using a blanket that weighs roughly 5% to 10% of their own body weight. Children may also use weighted blankets; for most kids, a blanket weighing 10% of their body weight will yield the best results. Weighted blankets carry health and safety risks for children under eight years of age; kids in this age group should avoid using a weighted blanket unless it has been prescribed by a physician or licensed therapist. Additionally, people with the following conditions should speak w...
