Sometimes in life, a regular morning can turn out to be a disastrous day and all of this is caused by one good reason, Stress. People can suffer from stress through various of symptoms which includes headaches and lack of energy. The cause of this are most likely to come from personal problems and past experience. But why it is so bad?Stress can be said as the stage after anxiety and before depression. It is where people starts to get affected physically because of the inability to control their emotions. Some example of cases linked to stress are break-ups and failures (educational), which often occur in teenagers.
Even though there has been many cases of deadly acts due to stress and anxiety, there are always ways to avoid these cases from happening to us, so here are some tips and ways in order to relieve stress:
1. Exercise
Exercise can be one of the ways you can do to combat stress.
According to research, it turns out that physical exercising can help relieving stress. The effect are strongest when you exercise regularly. People who exercise regularly are less likely to experience anxiety than those who don't exercise.
The reasons why this will work are:
- Sleep: As you get tired faster, exercise can also improve your sleep quality, which can be negatively affected by stress and anxiety.
- Confidence: When you exercise regularly, you may feel more competent and confident in your body. Additionally, this may also improve your emotional feelings and mood for the day.
2. Light a Candle
When we ask someone for help on relieve stress, they'll sometime say, "Try lighting a candle or two, it'll help a lot." Not just any candle, but those that have special, unique scents that are sold to either enhance the room's aroma and help calm our mind.
Some of these scents are recommended for those who would love to relax after a long day of work. Scents such as Lavender, Rose, Roman Chamomile, Orange blossom.
3. Chewing Gums or Sweets
If you could imagine and turn stress from a emotional problem into a taste, that taste can be associated with the taste bitter or sour which would taste really awful.
So to avoid this, researchers have recommended that chewing a stick gum or anything that is sweet may help in relieving someone's daily stress. If we enjoy eating, then we can forget about what makes us stress.
4. Family and Friends Time
Do you ever get that feeling where you just want to scream at top of your lungs and explode? These things happen because of stress and anxiety. Yet we tend to keep this to ourselves, as a secret. For some people this is something they can handle themselves, while others doesn't feel the same way. If you are one of them, then here's what you could do:
You could start by taking a small step, such as sharing your problem with your parents and other close family members. This problem may already seem obvious or it can be quite surprising since they are the ones whom you trusted and are closest to.
Once you feel comfortable enough, then you may start sharing with your close friends.
Not only will you start to feel that you are not alone in this world and that these people are there to help, but you are getting advice and experiences.
5. Avoid Procrastination
We all have our days in which we felt really lazy and will do anything just to get to sleep.
We would often procrastinate when it comes to doing tomorrow's report or a school's homework. This is because our brain is telling us to start shutting down the system and get some rest. Even though this is natural, but stress will become worse when its on the due date.
To avoid panic and screaming on the inside, start by completing your work as quick as possible cause the time given helps a lot.
6. Meditation and Yoga
Stress won't keep our minds calm, but it'll make it into a shipwreck instead. Another way to prevent this from happening is by controlling our breathing.
Ways in which we can do this is by self-taught meditation or taking yoga classes. At first, it can be difficult due to impatient, but as time goes on, we won't even notice that we are actually doing it.
7. Listening to Music
One of the best way to distract our stressful mind is by listening to music. Listening to music can sometimes help when you are working.
Different people have their own taste in music, but during a stressful week, it would best to listen to some classical or jazz music which will help relax our mind, instead of rock and metal songs.
To conclude this, these tips and ways to relieve stress may or may not be successful but it had help most people to fight against stress. A combination of these ways could help.
