Stress has become part in our daily lives. Most of us will have much work to do, worry about our jobs, money, relationship, and so many more. Because of this, we will become stressed and caused other physical health problems such as increased blood pressure and the risk of heart diseases.

Because of this most people prefers a more healthy and natural way such as consuming herbal tea.

1. Chamomile Tea
Chamomile tea is made from a dried chamomile flower. According to a study, it “contains apigenin, an antioxidant that binds to certain receptors in your brain that may promote sleepiness and reduce insomnia, or the chronic inability to sleep”. Sleep deprivation is one of the causes of stress. So, consuming this tea will allow you to sleep better at night and thus reduces stress. Another benefit of this tea is that it can improve your heart health and boosts your immune system. To prepare the tea, boil the dried flower and then allow it to steep for about 5 minutes. You can also flavor the tea with sugar, lemon, or honey.


2.  Green Tea
Green tea is considered as the healthiest beverage in the world. Its antioxidant can help reduce anxiety and stress. A research suggests that “if you drink five cups of green tea each day, you may reduce occurrences of psychological distress by up to 20 percent”. In addition, green tea can also help prevent Alzheimer and cancer. To make the tea, add the leaves in a hot water and then boil it until it settles in the bottom.


3. Peppermint Tea
Peppermint tea is an herbal tea that is made from peppermint leaves. The leaves contain a natural sedative or antispasmodic nature of menthol that helps you get instant relief from mental stress. This caffeine-free beverage can also reduce your blood pressure, allowing you to relax and unwind your stress. Other than that, this tea can also help with insomnia and thus drinking this tea before sleep can help you get a good night rest. In order to make this tea, first, you need to steep the leaves in a pan for 5-10 minutes and then when the water has reached its boiling point, strain in it a cup and enjoy. You can also add sugar or honey to flavor the tea.
